Uploading images from another website is dangerous in that someone could use it for a denial of service attack either on our website, on another website, or both. For that reason, to sign up for remote uploading, we request a fee of 100,000 internet money (10 euro). After that, you should be able to remotely upload for life unless you actually manage to remotely upload more than one gigabyte.

One internet money gets you ten kilobytes in credits to remotely upload from another website. The 100,000 internet money you pay at signup pads you for one gigabyte. To reduce clutter in our database, we will not record a history of each person's usage and simply tally the numbers. If you get below 100,000 in remote upload credits, you can then put more credits into it.

The maximum size you can remotely upload is one megabyte and you will not be able to upload without the credits to upload one megabyte reserved. If you upload over one megabyte and it is rejected, you will still be deducted the credits for one megabyte since our website had to do a remote download of over one megabyte for you.

The URL maximum length is 2000 bytes. The URL must start with http:// or it will be ignored but text will remain in the textbox field. When you upload a file, the "http://" is removed but the rest of it remains in the field for your reference. To upload a remote file, you also must not be uploading a file from your computer at the same time.
